Born in upstate New York and after moving with his family to Cary, NC while in his teens, Bill then graduated from Wake Forest University.
Bill started his insurance career with Integon Insurance in 1974 and worked his way through various management positions in its Life division. In 1988, he left Integon to join his long-time friend and colleague, John Wells, at Security Underwriters. There he developed his practice, specializing in Life, Health, Long Term Care, and financial planning. He earned his Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant credentials early in his career.
As a Strategic Partner with IIGNC Insurance, Bill continues to service his existing clients and assist with IIGNC new business development. Bill’s business philosophy has always been to match his recommendations with the needs of his clients through consultative needs-based planning.
Outside the office, Bill enjoys playing golf, guitar, and following all things Wake Forest. His biggest pleasure is spending time with his wife Becky and his son, daughter-in-law, and three granddaughters.
First Tee and Sunnyside Ministries are dear to him as well.
